From the master of counterpoint, this interesting arrangement shows a new range of tone colours from the brass quintet by using a Piccolo Trumpet in A, Bb Trumpet, Horn in F, Trombone and Tuba.  Alternate parts included for D trumpets. Band parts free on request.

Dave Payn says "One of my favourite Bach fugues, I arranged this back in 1984 for a performance at a Midnight Mass in Dulwich, SE London. Definitely for the highly skilled/professional quintet, alternate parts are supplied for D Trumpets 1 and 2 and treble clef Trombone/Euphonium. It is recommended that if the lead Trumpet is on the Piccolo in A, then the 2nd Trumpet should use the D Trumpet to have closer matching timbres".
