Please Support the Dorking Bandstand Project
Surrey Brass supports the project to create a new performing venue in Surrey that is accessible to everyone enabling a huge variety of performer to reach new audiences. In these days of small performing venues closing all over the country, the creation of a new performing space is something to be celebrated. We can't wait to perform there as soon as it's ready.
Dorking had its own Edwardian bandstand in the middle of town until it was demolished in the early 1960s.
The proposal is to re-create this in a similar style in Meadowbank Park, but incorporating modern technology and features to enable the wider uses to which bandstands are now being put, from music to drama; sports to promotion and beyond.
Read All About It - and please support the project in whatever way you can. Thank you for supporting the Arts in Surrey.

It's going to be a busy year!
Exciting concert dates are already in the diary, and we expect to confirm several others in the near future. With concerts in Surrey, a joint concert with Friary Brass Band and a Scottish Concert Weekend in the pipeline, there is plenty to look forward to already. Also on the programme for Spring is a recording session covering some of the innovative music we have commissioned and arranged over the years. As always, we'd really like to hear from you. Is there favourite music you would like us to play? We are always interested in new partnerships and new places to perform across Surrey. The Surrey Brass Quintet is available for smaller events and remain keen to support charity fundraising. Perhaps we might help you? Please Contact us with your ideas and questions. Surrey Brass remains entirely self-funded. Watch our fundraising video below to learn how easy it is for you to help us. Thank you for your support.
Looking forward to seeing you in 2024. |
