A Venetian Christmas

 7:30pm Friday 6th December 2019

St Paul's Church, St Paul's Road West,
Dorking. Surrey RH4 2HT

About the Concert

This atmospheric concert is a collaboration between Surrey Brass, Martineau Brass, and the Vaughan Williams Singers.

We take particular pleasure in using our unique Symphonic Brass sound to create a highly varied palette of sounds enabling performance of the widest range of music.

The theme of the concert is Venetian music for choir and brass from the golden age of the Renaissance.

The programme features compositions by Giovanni and Andrea Gabreieli who were worked for many years at the Basilica of St. Mark in Venice and produced a large amount of music for chorus and instrumental ensembles.

This concert is a performing partnership between many talented groups of local musicians. In particular members of Surrey Brass are delighted to be supporting their good friends Martineau Brass for this event.
